Earlier, most smartphone OEMs like Realme, Xiaomi, Redmi, Oppo, Vivo which run a custom UI on top of Android provided their own dialer. They had call recording facility which eliminated the need to install any third party app on their phones. But a common trend came around 2020 when all these OEMs started providing the Google dialer on their new phones and not the usual custom ones that we used to get before 2020. Everything was fine but one major drawback was that the call recording was announced by the infamous dialer. The customs did not have any such declaration.

As we said earlier, call recording works as a must-have feature for many users. On an important call you don’t want to stop the flow of your conversation as Google dialer announces “This call is now being recorded”. This announcement is heard at both the ends i.e. at the caller and receiver. Now, this can be an irritating thing and the other person may be uncomfortable talking to you.
Now Google has its reasons for making such an announcement. These companies had mentioned it clearly that “To protect the privacy of all users, whenever you are recording, both the parties are notified with a disclosure that the call is being recorded. When you stop recording, both parties are notified.” both the parties are informed with a disclosure that the call is no longer being recorded.” Some countries have laws that require consent to record calls for privacy reasons. While we understand the reason but there has to be a way to mute or disable the declaration. By default, Google has no option to disable it. But there is a solution.
There are some call recording apps available on Play Store but they do not guarantee you that the apps will work properly on all devices. Also, you want to keep using Google Dialer as your dialer and not a third-party app and your only concern is to mute the announcement. For this we have TTSlexx app available on Google Play Store. Steps to Mute or stop the call recording announcement using TTSlexx App
1 – Download and install TTSlexx from the play store.
2 – On your android phone open system setting and navigate to Settings>System>Accesseblibty.
3 – Search for Text -To-Speech-Output and click on it.
4 – Tap on the preferred engine and change the value to “TTSLexx” from Speech Services by Google. Confirm the standard warning after.
5 – Now Open Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps on your phone.
6 – Now search for the Phone app and click on it to open its details.
7 – Now clear the app storage by clicking on storage details.
8 – Its done.Now you can make a call and will notice that there is no This call is now being recorded sound.
Conclusion
If you have doubts about the app, you can switch the text-to-speech provider back to “Speech by Google.” Call recording announcement will still be disabled until the phone app refreshes its data or if you restart the phone. You can repeat the steps again when the announcement is activated again.
